We did not have the skills, stamina or equipment to update the patio ourselves! We could have opted for a tiler we know to extend the existing patio but he would not have been able to erect a new pergola or build a raised bed with built in seat. We were impressed and influenced by Dave’s ideas and vision for the space. We also felt confident that he and his team were listening to us and would be able to deliver we wanted.

The team provided an exceptionally high standard of workmanship from start to finish. We did not expect the built-in seat / raised bed to be sanded and sealed to such a smooth beautifully high standard. We were also very pleased with the height and width of the pergola framing the garden beyond. Dave persuaded us to be bold and have a larger pergola. He was right. Dave also recommended having outdoor lighting which we would not have thought of but are delighted with.

The end result has exceeded our expectations. The patio space is now much larger and open than before. It was however completed in winter so we are still looking forward to having extended family gatherings outdoors this summer. Our home looks out onto the courtyard patio from three different rooms. Now looking out onto the patio and beyond is impressive rather than depressing.
